Chloe: Choosing to Follow Her Curiosity

Growing up between Taiwanese and Filipino influences shaped the way Chloe looks at the world. Seeing different levels of wealth and completely different ways of living made her more aware of the circumstances people grow up in and encouraged her to approach others with humility rather than assumptions.

Her curiosity eventually took her beyond family trips. She traveled independently with friends across Asia and visited around ten countries, always drawn to the people and everyday realities behind each destination. A month-long work trip to Cambodia particularly stayed with her, giving her the opportunity to spend time with local factory workers and understand more about their lives.

After graduating from university, Chloe spent two years working in Taiwan before deciding to leave her job and experience Europe for herself. She chose France for a working holiday because she wanted enough time to experience the country rather than simply pass through it as a tourist.

Now 24, Chloe is continuing to explore what she wants from her life and where she might eventually call home. She does not believe every decision needs to serve a clear plan, and she approaches the future with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to see where each experience takes her.
